Centre notifies transfer of Dr. Justice Ravi Ranjan to P&H High Court

Pursuant to the recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium earlier this month, Central Government has notified the transfer of Dr. Justice Ravi Ranjan, Judge of the Patna High Court to the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

As per the Central Government Notification dated November 9, 2018, Dr. Justice Ranjan would assume charge of his office in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on or before November 23, 2018.

Dr. Justice Rajan had requested the Collegium to either stay his transfer or send him to Jharkhand or Allahabad High Court. Both the requests were turned down by the Collegium.

After joining Patna High Court Bar in December, 1990, Dr. Justice Rajan was elevated as an Additional Judge of Patna HighCourt on July 14, 2008. He was appointed as its permanent Judge on January 16, 2010.
