In an article published in the Times of India, former Chief Justice of Delhi, Justice AP Shah has called for a rational, “well thought out” process for appointing judges to the higher judiciary. The retired judge, who was the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court as well as the Delhi High Court, also spoke out against the current, closed, system of judicial appointments via a collegium system.
