Two more Supreme Court judges disclose their assets on SC website

Two more Supreme Court judges have disclosed their assets on the website of Supreme Court of India.

Justices AM Khanwilkar and Ashok Bhushan are the two judges who have chosen to put out the details in the public domain.

Out of the twenty-five sitting judges, only fourteen judges have disclosed their assets on the website while assets of eleven judges are not in public domain.

The eleven judges, whose assets are yet to be published, are:

  1. RF Nariman
  2. AM Sapre
  3. UU Lalit
  4. Amitava Roy
  5. DY Chandrachud
  6. L Nageswara Rao
  7. Sanjay Kishan Kaul
  8. Mohan M Shantanagoudar
  9. S Abdul Nazeer
  10. Navin Sinha
  11. Deepak Gupta

Of these eleven judges, three judges – Justice Rohinton Nariman, Justice UU Lalit and Justice L Nageswara Rao were directly elevated from the Bar.

Bar & Bench had reported on July 6 that out of the twenty-seven judges (who were then on the Bench) only fourteen had put out their assets on SC website.

Two of the fourteen, Justice JS Khehar and Justice PC Pant retired from service bringing down the number to twelve out of the twenty-five. Two more judges have now put out their assets raising the number to fourteen.
