Tushar Chawla joins ALMT Delhi Former ELP Partner to head Corporate Practice

Tushar Chawla, former Partner at Economic Laws Practice will be joining ALMT Legal as Partner and will head the firm’s Corporate practice in the Delhi office. Tushar will be joining the firm with effect from June 1, 2012..Tushar Chawla, former Partner at Economic Laws Practice will be joining ALMT Legal as Partner and will head the firm’s Corporate practice in the Delhi office. Tushar will be joining the firm with effect from June 1, 2012..Tushar has over 17 years of experience and has worked both inhouse and with law firms. He specializes in Merger & Acquisition, Technology Transfer, SEZ, Cross Licensing Agreements and Intellectual Property..At ELP, Tushar was heading the Corporate and Intellectual Property practice for the Delhi office. Tushar worked at ELP for almost four years. Prior to joining ELP, Tushar was working as an inhouse legal counsel for Moser Baer, where he handled M&A transactions on a global scale, technology based transactions etc. He has also worked with Kochhar & Co. as a Senior Associate for 2 years..Tushar is a graduate of Delhi University and started his career working with the Taj group of hotels..Speaking to Bar & Bench Tushar said, “ALMT has a pan India presence and they have very good quality clients based out of both Mumbai and Bangalore. So the intention is to work with the existing clients and further build the corporate practice in Delhi office”..He further said, “When I joined ELP in 2008, ELP had a very good litigation practice out of Delhi office and then we developed the corporate practice successfully and the intention is to replicate the same thing there.”.This will take the total number of partners at the ALMT Delhi office to 2. Last year, ALMT had set up the Delhi office and had hired Seema Kothari to head the Delhi office.
