During this time he spent in jail, Shetye’s daughters were sent to the orphanage and his wife remarried. The notifications ban the use of PET bottles in storing, transport and packaging alcoholic beverages from April this year..Chief Justice D.H. Waghela directed the petitioners to formulate a mechanism for 100 per cent recycling of the PET bottles. Further hearing will continue on March 17. Senior Counsel, Milind Sathe appeared for the PET bottle manufacturers while Janak Dwarkadas is appearing for the distillers.
