SC re-starts Senior Designations after 2 years, confers gown on 25 retired judges

The Supreme Court of India has re-started the process of Senior Designations by conferring Senior gown on twenty-five retired High Court judges.

A letter sent by Additional Registrar Rakesh Kumar to the Registrar Generals of all High Courts states that the Supreme Court of India, in a Full Court meeting held on September 6, has designated twenty-five former judges of High Courts.

The last time the Supreme Court designated a retired judge as Senior Advocate was on August 31, 2016 . . .
