Supreme Court pulls up Punjab and Haryana High Court for "casual and cavalier" judgmentJuly 2 2019
A dispute over whether an amendment to certain electricity tariff regulations entailed hostile discrimination was sent back by Supreme Court to Punjab and Haryana High Court, after the top court found serious flaws in the manner in which the High Court had dealt with the case.
As noted in the judgment passed by the Bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Ajay Rastogi,
