The Supreme Court today issued notice to the central government and the Election Commission of India in petitions filed by the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and a legislator from the Samajwadi Party, seeking implementation of a voter-verified paper trail.
A Bench of Justices Jasti Chelameswar and S Abdul Nazeer heard the parties at length before issuing notice to the Centre.
