Supreme Court dismisses PIL to allow Muslim women into Mosques, ban Purdah system [Read Petition]July 8 2019
The Supreme Court today dismissed a public interest litigation petition filed by the President of the Kerala unit of the Akhil Bharath Hindu Mahasabha praying that Muslim women be allowed entry into mosques.
A Bench of Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Deepak Gupta and Aniruddha Bose questioned the locus of the petitioner, saying,
"Let a Muslim woman come, then we will consider."
