Merely slapping husband in public not instigation to commit Suicide, Delhi HC [Read Judgment]

A peculiar case before the Delhi High Court recently led Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva to hold that merely slapping your spouse in public does not necessarily indicate an instigation to commit suicide.

In the judgment passed on Tuesday, the Court noted that such an act would not generally drive a person to take his own life under normal circumstances. Therefore, it could hardly be construed as a form of instigation or abetment to commit suicide. As noted in the judgment,
