Siddharth Wahi joins JSA as Of Counsel Former Baker Mckenzie SA to focus on Energy Sector

Siddharth Wahi, former Senior Associate at Baker & Mckenzie, has joined the Delhi office of J. Sagar Associates as an Of Counsel. Siddharth will be part of the firm’s Projects practice..Siddharth Wahi, former Senior Associate at Baker & Mckenzie, has joined the Delhi office of J. Sagar Associates as an Of Counsel. Siddharth will be part of the firm’s Projects practice..Siddharth is a graduate of the University of Delhi. He started his career with Trilegal and thereafter went on to do his LLM from Cornell University. After completing his masters, he returned to Trilegal and worked with them for almost three years before moving to Baker & Mckenzie, Singapore. There, Siddharth worked for five years, focusing on the Energy sector (including Oil & Gas, Electricity and Mining) and Infrastructure projects..Siddharth told Bar & Bench that his decision to move back to India was predetermined. Siddharth said, “I always wanted to move back to India after working abroad for ‘x’ number of years. The only reason I wanted to work abroad was to gain international experience in my practice area”..Talking about his decision to join JSA, Siddharth said, “Since I had earlier worked with Sumanto Basu and have a long association with him, I decided to join his team at JSA”..Siddharth plans to further build and enhance the capabilities of the Projects practice of the firm..Siddharth advises clients on both, development and acquisition transactions relating to Oil & Gas, Power and Mining.
