Senior Advocate and former Advocate General of Kerala MK Damodaran passes away

Senior Advocate and former Advocate General of Kerala, MK Damodaran passed away today, reports Mathrubhumi news.

Damodaran was a very popular figure in Kerala, well known for defending the Naxalites during the late ‘60s and early ‘70s.

Damodaran graduated in law from Government Law College, Ernakulam and enrolled as an advocate in 1964. He started his practice in Tellichery and became independent in two years. He was jailed during the emergency after which he shifted his base to Ernakulam.

He served as the Advocate General of Kerala from 1996 to 2001.
