Supreme Court seeks Yogi government's response in UP encounters PILJuly 2 2018
The Supreme Court today sought the response of Yogi Adityanath's Uttar Pradesh government in a petition filed by the People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) seeking a probe into the encounters taking place in the state.
Advocate Sanjay Parikh, appearing for the petitioner, told the Court that 58 persons have been killed in over 1000 encounters carried out by the Uttar Pradesh Police.
