The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a petition seeking a ban on the release of the Hindi feature film Padmavati.
The matter was heard by a Bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices DY Chandrachud and AM Khanwilkar.
The petitioner, Siddharajsinh Mahavirsinh Chudasama, sought a stay on release of the feature film on the grounds that Rani Padmavati had been depicted in poor light, and that the same was likely to hurt . . .
