SC issues notice in petition calling for Sports to be made a Fundamental RightAugust 21 2018
The Supreme Court yesterday issued notice in a petition seeking that sports be recognized as a fundamental right under Article 21A of the Constitution.
The Bench of Justices SA Bobde and L Nageswara Rao sought the reply of the Central government, the state governments, and the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, among others. The respondents have been directed to file replies within four weeks.
