The Supreme Court today dismissed a plea filed by advocate ML Sharma seeking the suspension of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer Rakesh Asthana..A Bench of Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Deepak Gupta and Sanjiv Khanna noted that the petitioner had made multiple prayers besides seeking the suspension of Asthana..CJI Gogoi said that some discipline has to be maintained even in PILs, when it comes to prayers and issues raised..“You cannot bring everything under the Sun in an Article 32 petition”, remarked CJI Gogoi..He also said that the issue raised in the petition could be a matter within the realm of a service tribunal..The Bench then passed its order..“There are multiple causes of action combined, one having no connection with another. One of the reliefs sought might be in the realm of jurisdiction of service tribunal. We decline to entertain the petition.”
