SC Collegium plays tough, reiterates J. Manjunath’s recommendation as P&H High Court Chief

Even while the controversy surrounding Gopal Subramanium’s elevation to the Supreme Court has barely died down,  the Centre sought to intervene in another judicial appointment – that of Justice KL Manjunath as the Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court. However, the Supreme Court Collegium has responded immediately this time around and turned down the Centre’s request for reconsideration, reports NDTV.
