Samvad promotes ILS grad Nivedita Nivargi and NALSAR grad Neela Badami to partnership

Samvad Partners has promoted two of its Senior Associates Nivedita Nivargi and Neela Badami to partnership taking the total number of partners at the the firm to 7. The partnership is effective from April 1, 2014..Nivedita has been with the firm since 2006, and is part of the corporate and commercial team. Prior to joining Samvad, Nivedita worked with Ashira Law for about 2 years in Bangalore. She is a graduate of ILS Law College, Pune..Neela initially worked at the Mumbai office of Amarchand Mangaldas in the Capital Markets team after graduating from NALSAR in 2005. Prior to that she was a Law Clerk at International Criminal Court in the Hague for six months. In 2008, she went to the US and did her LL.M. from University of Michigan after which she returned to India and joined Samvad Partners in January 2009. Neela too is part of the corporate team in Bangalore..Neela has been ranked as an “Associate to Watch” in Chambers and Partners Global and Asia Pacific legal rankings for two years in a row (2013 -14)..This is the first set of partner promotions from within the firm’s associates. Samvad Partners previously know as Narasappa, Doraswamy & Raja had merged with Vineetha MG’s firm V Chambers of Law to form Samvad Partners with effect from April 1, 2013.
