The petition seeking a probe into the death of Special CBI judge BH Loya, a plea mired in controversy, was adjourned today..Senior Advocate Harish Salve, appearing for the state of Maharashtra, today submitted a set of what was described as “sensitive” and “confidential” documents before the Supreme Court Bench of Justices Arun Mishra and Mohan M Shantanagoudar..He submitted that the documents contain sensitive and confidential information and must not be shared with everyone..Justice Arun Mishra, heading the bench, observed that “it is a matter in which petitioners must know everything”, and ordered that the copies of the documents be supplied to the petitioner..Senior Advocate Pallav Shishodia and Advocate Varinder Kumar Sharma appeared for the petitioners..The Court then proceeded to adjourn the matter for seven days..The listing of the petitions filed by Tehseen Poonawalla and journalist BR Lone was said to the be the tipping point that prompted four senior most judges of the Supreme Court to hold the controversial judges press conference last week..Petitioner Poonawalla had earlier claimed that he was being “bullied” by Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave into withdrawing the petition filed in the Supreme Court, as the latter expressed reservations against the matter being heard by a Bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra.
