The 2018 batch of National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore secured as many as fourteen jobs on their Day Zero, held yesterday.
In addition to this, students of the batch were offered twenty pre-placement offers (PPOs) prior to Day Zero, of which nineteen were accepted. This takes the total number of students placed thus far to thirty-three.
In addition to this, the batch was offered four vacation schemes from international law firms; Herbert Smith Freehills made two offers, while Linklaters and Allen & Overy made one each.
A host of top law firms including Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Luthra & Luthra, Trilegal, AZB & Partners and Khaitan & Co collectively made a total of twenty-nine offers on Day Zero. S&R Associates and Hindustan Unilever made PPOs.

Shardul Amarchand was the biggest hirer, having made nine hires, including eight PPOs. Trilegal was next, with a total of six hires. AZB was the heaviest hirer on Day Zero, with four hires.
Out of a batch strength of eighty, forty-five students sat for recruitments. Day One recruitments at NLSIU are likely to happen at the end of this month.
The Recruitment Co-ordination Committee consists of Akshi Rastogi, Deepanshi Ahlawat, Kavya Gupta, Ritika Ajitsaria, Mathew Nevin Thomas, Satya Sahu and Varun Yadav.
NLU Delhi recently conducted its Day Zero, landing a total of twenty jobs.
Update: The batch has secured another placement from Trilegal, taking the total number of students placed thus far to 34.
