The office will initially have five to six associates to start with. Apart from handling media work, the office will also handle corporate and real estate work..Speaking to Bar & Bench, Partner Madhu Gadodia said, “Most of our clients are bollywood production houses, production studios, directors, actors and distributors. We have clients who are involved in every stage of cinema. We also have television producers, television channels, event management companies and brand endorsement companies as our clients. Basically,it’s the whole of media and entertainment umbrella. Most of these clients are located in Andheri. The idea of starting the office in Andheri is to be in the heart of the suburb.There is no law firm of this calibre in the area. It is forthe better accessibility for the clients. It will belogistically very convenient for clients and it will be very cost efficient”..Gadodia added, “We are planning to start the office from July 1, 2011. The focus will be on media and entertainment. At the same time we will also be a full service firm with Nariman point office to support us”..Speaking to Bar & Bench, Managing Partner Ameet Naik said, “We want to be one of the first major law firms to start a full scale office in the suburbs and the idea is to take it to the same level as theexisting South Mumbai office”..The firm has also finalised an office space for its third office in mid-town Mumbai..Naik speaking on the expansion plans said, “We are adding a corporate partner and a litigating partner to the firm. We are also hiring team of fivelaterals in terms of senior associates both in corporate and litigation practice. We are also taking over a large litigation practice. We are adding banking and finance to our practice for which we are getting a very senior professional. We are also hiring a senior professional for real estate practice”..Naik further informed that the firm is also planning to open a full-fledged office in Delhi under the new brand by the end of the year.
