#Promotions: ELP makes 5 new Partners, 15 Associate Partners

Economic Laws Practice (ELP) has announced its promotions for this year. The firm has elevated five lawyers to the designation of Partner/Director and fifteen lawyers to Associate Partner/Director level.

The five new Partner/Director designees along with their location and practice areas are:

  • Adarsh Somani – Mumbai – Tax
  • Amit Manubarwala – Mumbai – Corporate & Commercial
  • Rajat Chhabra – Pune – Tax
  • Shyam Pandya – Mumbai – Corporate & Commercial
  • Vivek Baj – Pune – Tax

Somani, Chhabra and Baj will assume the role of Director, while Manubarwala and Pandya have been made Partner.

Four Counsel and eleven Senior Associates have been elevated as Associate Partner/Director. The following fifteen lawyers have been elevated:

  • Mahfooz Nazki – Delhi – Litigation & Dispute Resolution
  • Mukta Dutta – Delhi – Litigation & Dispute Resolution
  • Tomu Francis – Mumbai – Corporate & Commercial
  • Vishal Kulkarni – Pune – Tax
  • Abhay Joshi – Delhi – Competition Law & Policy
  • Aditya Khadria – Mumbai – Banking & Finance
  • Ambarish Sathianathan – Mumbai – International Trade & Customs
  • Amruta Kelkar – Mumbai – Corporate & Commercial
  • Gourav Sogani – Mumbai – Tax
  • Parthsarathi Jha – Delhi – Competition & Trade
  • Rahul Khurana – Delhi -Tax
  • Rhia Marshall – Mumbai – Litigation & Dispute Resolution
  • Shailesh Poria – Mumbai – Litigation & Dispute Resolution
  • Stella Joseph – Mumbai – Tax
  • Tejus Golcha – Mumbai – Tax

Sogani and Khurana have been designated as Associate Director.

The firm has also promoted eleven Associate Managers to Senior Associate, and five Associates to Associate Manager.

Managing Partner of ELP Suhail Nathani said in a press release,

ELP has more than 250 lawyers across its six offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Chennai.
