Exclusive: D Prakash Reddy is the new Advocate General of Telangana [Read Notification]

Less than a week after Senior Advocate K Ramakrishna Reddy’s resignation, the Telangana Government has appointed Senior Advocate D Prakash Reddy as the state’s Advocate General.

Prakash Reddy joined the Bar in 1977 after graduating from Osmania Law College. He initially joined the Chambers of Pratap Reddy, where he worked till 1986.

In 1990, Prakash Reddy shifted to Delhi to practice in the Supreme Court where he remained till 1998. In 1998, when he was appointed as Additional Advocate General in the A.P High Court, he moved back to Hyderabad.

He continued in the office of additional advocate general for 6 years till 2004 when he resigned because there was a change in power. He was appointed during the period when the TDP was in power.
