He started his career with Trilegal in 2007 and thereafter moved to Phoenix Legal with the founding team in 2008..Speaking to Bar & Bench on his decision to move to a venture capital fund from a law firm, Arun said, “It is a change in direction for me. I was looking at a role that offered me greater ownership and responsibility on transactions and I think this role offers me that”..Arun added, “I also wanted to be part of the entire investment life cycle and have always been interested in this area of practice. I will now have the option to look at everything holistically”..Arun specializes in cross border mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and joint ventures. At Phoenix Legal, he also regularly advised clients on Indian banking and securities regulations, exchange control regulations and general corporate matters..Nexus Venture Partners declined to comment.
