No filings to be accepted on original side without proper pagination, Bombay High Court

Justice GS Patel of the Bombay High Court, has directed officers on the original side of the High Court not to accept any filings in any matter, unless the pages are properly numbered, and placed in appropriate folders..The order passed on February 15 states,.“From today onwards, the Original side of this Court will not accept any filings in any matter unless there is proper paging and the file is placed in an appropriate folder.” .Justice Patel passed the order while hearing a suit file by Amrutlal Zinabhai Steelas Pvt Ltd. In the order, the High Court has also directed Mohammed Himayathullah, Partner at the law firm Negandhi Shah and Himayatullah, to personally verify the filings of the plaintiff and ensure that they are complete, and that there are no additional, supplementary, or extraneous filings..Justice Patel ordered that the matter would not be listed under any circumstances, until a signed statement of verification had been submitted by Himayathullah..Himayathullah was attending the matter on behalf of his firm, which had briefed the plaintiff’s counsel Rahul Sabne..The order further states the no filings are to be accepted, unless they are required or permitted by the High Court Rules, the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC) or an order of the Court..Justice Patel directed the Prothonotary and Senior Court Master, to instruct all original side staff accordingly..Read the order below.
