NUJS to host 1st Pondering Intellectual Property essay competition UPDATED

The Intellectual Property and Technology Law Society (IPTLS) at the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (NUJS) has recently announced its first “Pondering Intellectual Property” essay competition. The competition is being jointly organised by IPTLS, IP-blog Spicy IP and the MHRD IP Chair at NUJS..The topic of the competition is: “Should the process of creating an invention or work determine its protectability as an intellectual property?”.The competition is open to all law students for whom the program of study “counts as the first degree in law” and permits co-authorship provided both authors are eligible for the competition. The word limit is 5,000 words (including footnotes and references) and the last date for submitting entries has now been extended to October 1, 2012..The entries shall be judged by a 5-member panel consisting of Professor David Vaver, Professor Lionel Bently, Judge Randall R.
