NDA’s Shivendra Singh joins law firm ‘The Guild’ set up by former Khaitan, JSA lawyers

Nishith Desai Associates lawyer Shivendra Singh has joined The Guild, Advocates & Associate Counsel, a law firm set up by Khaitan and JSA lawyers. Shivendra has joined the firm as a Partner..The Guild was set up in 2018 by three lawyers – Abhijeet Swaroop from Khaitan & Co, and Vinam Gupta and Tabrez Malawat from J Sagar Associates. The firm’s office is based in New Delhi’s Defence Colony..Abhijeet, Vinam and Tabrez lead the Arbitration & Litigation vertical, with Tabrez specializing in electricity,infrastructure and regulatory practice..Shivendra will head the corporate practice at the firm..All partners at The Guild have substantial experience of working with Tier I Firms. Abhijeet, before joining Khaitan, began his career with Luthra & Luthra (now L&L Partners) in litigation, while Shivendra started his corporate practice with the erstwhile Amarchand Mandgaldas. He later moved to DMD Advocates and finally to Nishith Desai Associates..Both Abhijeet and Shivendra are 2008 law graduates from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal..Vinam, a 2012 law graduate and Masters in Business Laws, began his career in litigation from Khaitan and later moved to JSA..Tabrez, who is also a 2012 law graduate, holds an LL.M. from Hamburg, Germany. He initially worked with Paras Kuhad Associates and Praxis Counsel, before joining the Electricity and Regulatory practice at JSA.
