The working strength of the Delhi High Court increased to 47 on Thursday with the swearing-in of three more judges. .Two of them, Anish Dayal and Amit Sharma are newly appointed from the Bar, while Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav has been transferred from the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Acting Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi administered oath of office to the three judges today. The transfer notification of Justice Kaurav was published by the Law Ministry yesterday. The appointment notification of Sharma and Dayal was published on May 31. While Sharma has been cleared for appointment as additional judge for a period of two years, Dayal has been appointed permanent judge.Both Sharma and Dayal were recommended for judgeship nearly two years ago in August 2020 along with four other lawyers.
