A cyber complaint has been filed with the West Bengal Police over alleged malicious tweets targetting the wife of Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud..The complaint has been filed in connection to the social media posts stating that the CJI's wife, Kalpana Das, is related to the personal physician of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee..The development assumes significance at the time when a Bench led by the CJI is hearing a suo motu case in connection with the rape and murder of a young resident doctor in Kolkata'a RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.During the hearing of the case, the CJI passed oral strictures over the State's conduct. The Court set up a national task force (NTF) to examine issues concerning safety and dignity of doctors and medical professionals, and to address gender-based violence.
