Vishnu Jerome rebrands P&C Legal as Jerome Merchant+Partners

Vishnu Jerome and Kalpana Merchant have rebranded their firm P&C Legal as “Jerome Merchant+Partners” to focus its growth areas on the practices offered at the Mumbai office..The practices offered are primarily in the areas of financial services, M&A, private equity, real estate, technology, funds and aviation..Vishnu had formed an alliance with Poovayya & Co in 2013 to set up an associate office in Mumbai and branded the firm as P&C Legal. In 2015, AZB & Partners’ former Mumbai Partner Kalpana Merchant also joined P&C Legal..The other three Partners include Shameek Ray, Murtaza Somjee and Sameer Sibal..The firm will continue its strong associate relationship with Poovayya & Co, providing its clients with access to complementary services at Delhi and Bangalore..Sajan Poovayya, Senior Counsel and former managing partner of Poovayya & Co, commented,.“The two firms will seamlessly continue our collaborative relationship and associate offices – where we assist each others’ clients in our respective areas of strength and geographies, thereby continuing to contribute to the growth of both firms.”.This rebranding and marketing strategy is a culmination of a 6-month exercise.
