Mumbai based-Universal Legal has promoted two of its partners – Rashi Kapoor Mehta and Neha Sehgal Mirchandani to equity partnership.
This takes the total number of equity partners to four including the two founding partners – Mohit Kapoor and Apurva Agarwal.
The firm has also promoted Angshuman Chaliha and Neelkamal Chaudhary to Senior Associate level.
Universal Legal is also in the process of expanding its team with new hires and moving to a larger office space in Mittal Court, Nariman Point.

Rashi has been associated with Universal Legal since its inception in 2004 and has grown through the ranks to become a partner in 2010. Her key areas of expertise lie in the fields of Corporate & Commercial Laws and Foreign Exchange Regulations with a strong focus on the pharmaceuticals, life sciences and technology sectors.
Neha joined the firm in October 2005 and became a partner in March 2010. Her key areas of expertise lie in the fields of Real Estate, Intellectual Property, Information Technology, Corporate and Succession laws with a focus on the Hospitality, FMCG, Media & Entertainment sectors and Private Client.
