Unbearable heat and humidity: Bar bodies in Kolkata urge court not to pass adverse orders in absence of lawyers

The bar associations have asked the Chief Judge to show leniency from June 8 to June 10 since it has become unbearable to attend courts in adherence to full dress code, due to the heat wave.

Bar Associations in Kolkata have written to the Chief Judge of the City Sessions and Metropolitan Magistrate Court urging judges to refrain from passing adverse orders in the absence of advocates or litigants due to the “scorching heat and humidity”.
