Two-child limit to become Panchayat member won't include step-children but will include children from previous marriage: Bombay High Court

The two-child limit under Section 14 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act to be eligible to become a panchayat member will include biological children from a previous marriage but will not include step-children from a subsisting or current marriage, the Bombay High Court recently clarified.
