[Exclusive]: Tata GC Shuva Mandal expands his legal team with A&O, CAM hires

Tata’s Group General Counsel Shuva Mandal is further expanding his legal team in Mumbai. Recently, Aditya Birla Dubai’s General Manager Dhyanesh Sabnis joined Tata Group..Dhyanesh is a 2006 graduate of National Law School, Bangalore. He has previously worked at Karanjawala & Co and Godrej. He joined Aditya Birla Group in 2011 in Mumbai, and moved to the company’s Dubai office in 2015..Two other lawyers who are slated to join Mandal’s team are Aravind Balajee from Allen & Overy and Prateek Shroff from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas..Aravind is an experienced corporate lawyer with substantial cross-border experience. He is likely to join Tata Group early next week. He is a graduate of National Law School, Bangalore and also holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School..He initially worked at White & Case in New York for over six years, before moving back to India to join Amarchand Mangaldas in 2013. In 2015, he moved to Singapore to join Allen & Overy, and has spent about two years there..Prateek Shroff is a graduate of NUJS, Kolkata. He initially worked at Trilegal, before joining Amarchand Mangaldas in 2011..We have reached out to the Group General Counsel for his comment on these hires..Last year, Gauri Rao and Abhinav Surana had joined Tata Sons as Senior Legal Counsel as part of Shuva Mandal’s legal team.
