A Delhi court has remanded Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar to Delhi Police custody for five days in connection with Swati Maliwal assault case. .Judge Gaurav Goyal passed the order past midnight after hearing the arguments from Delhi Police and Kumar's counsels. .Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Atul Srivastava appeared for the Delhi Police today and sought 7 days police custody. The plea was opposed by Kumar's counsels Rajiv Mohan and Shadan Farasat who said that the arrest has been made in haste since Kumar had filed for anticipatory bail..Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police earlier today. He had moved an anticipatory bail application but that became infructuous after his arrest. .Maliwal is the Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) from AAP. She has alleged that she was assaulted by Kumar at Kejriwal's residence. As per the FIR, Kumar hit Maliwal in her chest, stomach and the pelvic area with legs.AAP has countered allegations. Some videos have also surfaced on social media showing Maliwal having an argument with the security personnel of her walking out of the Chief Minister residence.
