Breaking: Supreme Court designates 37 lawyers as Senior Advocates

The Supreme Court has designated thirty-seven lawyers as Senior Advocates. The Court then refrained from designating lawyers as Senior Advocates during the pendency of the case..The judgment, in that case, was delivered in October 2017. However, the Supreme Court took a while in amending its guidelines for designation to bring it in tune with the 2017 judgment..The Court eventually notified the guidelines in August 2018 and invited applications from interested candidates for the Senior gown..It then re-started the process of Senior Designations by conferring Senior gown on twenty-five retired High Court judges in September 2018.
