Senior Advocate Aditya Sondhi has been appointed Additional Advocate General for the state of Karnataka..Confirming his appointment to Bar & Bench, Sondhi said,.“Its an honour and a challenge”..Sondhi was designated Senior Advocate in June 2014 along with Sajan Poovayya, Shashi Kiran Shetty and Prabhuling Navadgi. However, these designations were challenged that same year, only to be dismissed by the Karnataka High Court late last year..Sondhi enrolled at the bar in 1998 and had previously worked under Senior Advocate Udaya Holla, whom he credits with giving him ample opportunities to appear in the High Court, right from day one..He is a graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He has been awarded a PhD in Political Science by the Mysore University. He earlier did his Masters in Political Science from Bangalore University. In one of his earlier interviews with Bar & Bench, he had said,.“Regardless of which law school you come from or what degrees you hold, litigation is a function of experience, a function of confidence, and that can only come with time.”
