After the Delhi High Court Bar Association, the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has now barred Advocate Seema Sapra from using its facilities..A letter by the SCBA addressed to the Supreme Court Registrar General this week states that Seema Sapra is not a member of the SCBA..Further, on account of creating “uncalled for scenes” and other alleged instances of misconduct including the distribution of pamphlets, harassment of lawyers and clerks and clicking photographs of advocates, Sapra has now been barred from using the Association’s facilities..In view of the ban, the SCBA has also requested the Supreme Court’s Registrar General to refrain from issuing Sapra an entry pass except on days she is required to appear before the Court..To this end, the SCBA letter dated July 30, 2019 states,.“It has been brought to the notice of the Supreme Court Bar Association that Ms Seema Sapra, Advocate is creating uncalled for scene in the canteens, Bar Room, Libraries, corridors, Ladies Bar Room etc. she has been distributing pamphlets and harassing the practicing lawyers and clerks also. She has also be seen clicking photographs of the advocates. .Therefore, the SCBA has decide that since Ms Seema Sapra, Advocate is not a member of SCBA and since she has been harassing the members, she will not be permitted to use SCBA facilities.
