SCAORA Welfare Trust seeks contributions for flood relief in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana

The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA) Welfare Trust is seeking contributions from its members to support relief efforts being carried out by the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments to tackle the flood situation in their respective states State.

Due to heavy rainfall, several districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have experienced severe flooding in the months of August and September this year. The same has resulted in the loss of life and property.

Managing Trustee of the SCAROA Welfare Trust, Senior Advocate Siddharth Luthra has signed off on an appeal urging members to contribute generously to the ongoing relief efforts in the two States.

"We hope that our efforts will yield aid for some of the thousands of people who have lost their homes and livelihood, and are struggling to fulfil their basic needs," the September 6 letter says.

Contributions can also be made directly to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund of the two States.
