Sanjay Raut prima facie appears to be recipient of proceeds of crime: Mumbai Court takes cognizance of ED chargesheet

The chargesheet running into 5 volumes was filed last week and after taking cognizance of the same, special court issued summons to Raut who appeared before the Court today from judicial custody.

A Mumbai court on Monday took cognizance of the five volumes of chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut observing that Raut prima facie seemed to have been recipient of the proceeds of crime in the money laundering case linked to the redevelopment of a chawl project in a northern suburb of Mumbai.
