CJI Dattu refuses PIL on Sathasivam Governorship.The Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the appointment of Justice P Sathasivam as the Governor of Kerala has been dismissed by the Supreme Court. A Bench presided by Chief Justice HL Dattu heard out the petitioner’s advocate Deepak Prakash before dismissing the matter. Besides challenging Justice Sathasivam’s appointment as the Kerala Governor, the PIL had sought for a direction to bar further employment of retired Supreme Court judges and an interpretation of Article 124 (7) of the Constitution to that effect..SEBI will release new Delisting guidelines next month.Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), UK Sinha said that it will release new Delisting guidelines next month, reports Mint. SEBI had released a discussion paper on May 9 proposing to revamp Delisting guidelines, and had sought feedback on its proposals from various stakeholders..BCI directive to Telengana State Bar Association to bar Osmania and Kakatiya graduates.The Bar Council of India (BCI) has sent a notice to the Telengana State Bar Association to bar 2014-15 graduates of Law University College, Kakatiya and Osmania University Law college from enrolling..According to India Today, the decision was taken after failure by the two Universities to confirm to the Legal Education Rules, 2008 which requires all colleges to pay Rs 1.5 lakh to the BCI as inspection fee. Earlier, the BCI had barred Delhi University law graduates from enrolment for failure by the University to obtain affiliation for the LLB course.
