It has been informed that all District Courts and Tribunals in the state of Karnataka shall remain closed till July 6 for the purpose of Section 4 of the Limitation Act, 1963..The notification issued in this regard reads, .As per this office Notifications dated 25.03.2020, 16.04.2020, 30.04.2020 and 15.05.2020 the closure of all the District Judiciary, Family Courts, Labour Courts and Industrial Tribunals in the State upto 06.06.2020 were notified. Further, the period of closure of all the District Judiciary, Family Courts, Labour Courts and Industrial Tribunals in the State is hereby extended till 06.07.2020 for the purpose of Section 4 of the Limitation Act, 1963Karnataka High Court notification.Further, it has been clarified that Courts in Karnataka will not be closed and shall function as per the SOP released by the High Court previously. .Not more than 20 advocates in a Court Hall, physical hearings during afternoon session: Karnataka HC issues SOP to be followed from June 1 .Only for the purposes of filing, the limitation period has been extended to July 6. .Since the beginning of the month, all benches of the Karnataka High Court, District Courts and Tribunals have begun functioning in a limited manner. .Breaking: Karnataka High Court, subordinate courts to commence limited functioning from June 1 after 2 months of video conference hearings .Read notification here
