An anticipatory bail application has been filed before a sessions court in Kerala by a man accused of misbehaving with a Malayalam actress while traveling from Mumbai to Kochi on an Air India flight..The anticipatory bail plea was filed by one Anto CR (petitioner) after the actress lodged a complaint against him, alleging that a drunk passenger had misbehaved with her during a spat over a seat on the flight. .The petitioner claimed that he had occupied the window seat thinking it was one of the seats booked by him and his friends.A heated argument is said to have arisen between the petitioner and the actress when she found the petitioner sitting on the said seat, which was actually allocated to her. The petitioner maintained that the issue was settled after the air hostess intervened and offered the actress another comfortable seat. The petitioner was ready to move to the seat allocated to him as per the ticket, he added.The petitioner further submitted that he was surprised to see news items on television and online news portals the next day which reported on the actress' complaint regarding the incident.He further submitted that the allegation was concocted and that the police were threatening to register a non-bailable case against him to put him behind bars forever..On apprehending arrest, the petitioner has now approached the sessions court to grant him anticipatory bail.In his bail application, he also expressed his willingness to cooperate with the investigation and abide by any stringent conditions imposed by the court..The petitioner was represented by advocate Rebin Vincent Gralan.
