Parliament Watch: Crime against women in metropolitan cities; 152.8 police personnel per one lakh people in India

Parliament on Tuesday saw replies to questions on topics ranging from crime against women across metropolitan cities to the police-public ratio across the country..36,666 cases of crime against women in Delhi from 2019-21.To a question by three Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Lok Sabha, the Home Ministry revealed that between 2019 and 2021, 123,528 cases of crime against women were registered across 19 metropolitan cities in the country. Of these, 36,666 were registered in Delhi; 16,645 in Mumbai; 9,343 in Bengaluru and 5,258 in Kolkata.
