Orissa HC introduces drop boxes for filings, permits use of uploaded orders in lieu of certified copies during restricted functioning

The Orissa High Court has decided to extend the suspension of regular court functioning till August 21. Urgent matters will be heard virtually. Drop boxes have been introduced for physical filings.

The Orissa High Court has resolved to continue the suspension of normal Court functioning till August 21 in view of the COVID-19 situation.

During this time, the system of restricted virtual hearings followed presently will continue according to the roster prepared. Only extremely urgent matters will be heard during this time, upon an “advance memo of urgency” submitted by the advocates/ litigants to the Deputy Registrar (Judicial).
