No sale of beef near temples: Assam Cattle Preservation Bill, 2021 tabled in State Assembly by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma
The Bill states that anybody who contravenes its provisions will be imprisoned for a term of three years, which is extendable up to eight years, and be liable to pay a fine of rupees three to five lakh.
