The Supreme Court today dismissed the petition seeking advancement of polling hours from 7 am to 5 am for the remaining phases of the Lok Sabha elections..The petition filed by Advocate Mohammad Nizam Pasha sought an early start to the polling hours on account of heat wave and the beginning of the month of Ramzan..The petition was earlier mentioned before a Bench led by the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi which had directed the Election Commission of India (ECI) to pass appropriate orders on the same.
