Breaking: NLU Delhi postpones AILET, new dates for "Centre-Based, Remote Proctored" Test to be announced

The National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) has announced the postponement of this year's All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) to a date yet to be announced. .The exam, which was scheduled to take place on August 18, has been shifted in view of "multiple requests received from the candidates", NLU Delhi's announcement states.."At least 10 days’ prior notice will be given for the new date of the conduct of AILET 2020."The Circular Reads.While stating that the new test date would be announced shortly, the Circular notifies the adoption of a new mode for the conduct of this year's AILET..NLU Delhi, in conjunction with the National Testing Agency, has decided to hold this year's test as a 'Centre-Based Remote Proctored Test'. Centres for the examination will be notified shortly, the circular announces..Further, candidates will be given the option of choosing a test-centre from the pool notified per their convenience, the circular states additionally..The details of the new mode of conducting the test has been appended to the circular..Other details concerning the examination are as follows: .This year's examination will be of the same duration as previous editions of the test, that is, 90 minutes.The questions will be 'multiple-choice' (MCQ) with a single correct response,Wrong responses would be negatively-marked, with a deduction of 0.25 marks per wrong response.The examination will be a 'Remote Proctored Online Assessment' (RPA). The candidate is expected to visit a National Test Centers (NTCs) of NTA, physically, following social distancing norms. .The NTA further proposes the conduct of a "Mock Test", that may be attended from a candidate's home, with the responses and test-scores available immediately after, the appendix sets-out. Instructions for the mock test will be emailed to AILET applicants soon, it is stated..The following are additional updates on the new mode:.Admit Cards with relevant details shall soon be issued and is to be downloaded from the website.
