As per statistics provided by the Recruitment Co-ordination Committee, 20 students were placed in the country’s top law firms..The biggest hirer was Khaitan & Co, with 5 hires and 1 PPO. According to sources, Khaitan & Co offered a salary of upwards of 16 lakh per annum. Luthra & Luthra offered a package of around 13.8 lakh per annum, whereas Trilegal offered about 13.4 lakh per annum. Other firms offered packages in the range of 13-14 lakh..This was followed by Trilegal and Luthra with 3 recruitments each. AZB & Partners made 2 hires, while the Delhi and Mumbai Amarchands made 1 hire each..Three foreign law firms also offered Summer Vacation Schemes to 4 students. Linklaters offered 2, whereas Allen & Overy and Herbert Smith offered 1 each..Out of a batch strength of 73, 45 chose to sit for the recruitment process.
