It was passed by the Legislative Assembly, but is yet to be passed by the Legislative Council..As per the Amendment Bill, a candidate will be considered domiciled in Karnataka if either of her parents has resided in Karnataka for seven years immediately preceding the entrance exam, and she has studied in a recognised educational institute in the State for five years preceding the exam ..Currently, there are 80 seats for the BA.LL.B. (Hons.) programme. Out of the same, 57 are for General Category applicants. The LL.M. programme has 50 seats.
